Weekly Round up Week Commencing April 9th

We have had a busy few weeks at Team Activ but its great to see all the kids getting involved and taking part in such a wide variety of sports.

MULTI SKILLS INTRA COMP @ LADYWOOD PRIMARY

We had a great start back after the Easter holidays at Ladywood Primary School for our Multi Skills Intra Comp. We had 60 kids from Year 1 and 2 come in and enjoy different activities ranging from Golf Chip, Basketball Relay and Hit The Stumps.The kids participated with great smiles and enjoyment while working together in teams so they can try and get the most points possible. Was great to see all the kids trying their hardest and compete with a great team spirit.

A big thanks to the superb leaders from Ladywood who were a fantastic help and a big thanks for Ladywood for allowing us to host the event.

YEAR 5/6 BOYS AND GIRLS HOCKEY @ NETHERWOOD

We had a great day at Netherwood last Wednesday for our Year 5/6 Hockey. We had a high standard of competition yesterday,  the boys and girls played with brilliant standard showing amazing dribbling, weaving and shooting throughout all the matches they played. We had some great displays of team work and creativity to create so many chances. The children put on great performances while representing their schools.

A big thanks to all the schools who took part as you made the day a day to remember. Also, thanks to Netherwood for allowing us to host this superb event.

YEAR 5/6 MIXED RUGBY QUALIFIERS @ SHAW LANE

We had the Year 5/6 Rugby Qualifiers at Shaw Lane last week. The kids showed great skills and understanding of Rugby. We had over 12 teams competing for the chance to get into the finals. The standard of play was great to see with all the kids getting involved and trying to score as many tries as possible.Great to see so many girls and boys getting involved and working together to win. The atmosphere was great with all kids giving maximum effort in and playing fairly.

YEAR 5/6 RUGBY @ PENISTONE GRAMMAR SCHOOL

We had then moved from Shaw Lane to Penistone Grammar for our second event of the day. We had another Year 5/6 Rugby event. We had over 50 kids for this qualifying event. The kids showed great skills in rugby while competing at their best to try and qualify for the finals. They showed great team spirit and attitude while playing against each school. Great to see so many girls and boys getting involved and working together to score as many tries as possible and to win.
